As Director of the YU Institute for University-School Partnership, Scott is responsible for developing the YUSP’s vision and holistic strategy. He guides the YUSP’s collaborations with schools, organizations, foundations, and other funders in its efforts to sustain and reimagine Jewish day school education. As an internationally recognized expert in Jewish and general education, Scott conducts trainings and represents the YUSP at conferences and community programs around the world.

The Doris and Aaron Turk Presidential Fellow in University and Community Leadership

As the Presidential Fellow at the YU School Partnership, Shosh works on a variety of projects and programming that span the YUSP’s foci. Shosh has coordinated programming for the YUTeach Undergraduate Fellowship and Critical Friends Groups and has been involved with individual projects such as the Membership Plan Proposal.

Director of Planning and Performance Improvement

Harry manages the YU School Partnsership’s division of Planning and Performance Improvement. This entails developing and helping schools implement strategic planning, governance strengthening, financial benchmarking and long term financial planning, and process improvement efforts, which enhance quality  and sustainability. Currently, a key priority is the implementation of a comparative financial benchmarking, capacity building, and long term financial planning effort in a number of North American communities with the sponsorship of The AVI CHAI Foundation and local Federations and Foundations.

Executive Secretary

Lisa provides operational support for the entire YU School Partnership. She is responsible for all transactions, purchases and orders, scheduling, and assisting with YUSP meetings and conferences. In addition, Lisa serves as project coordinator for the YUCommunity Calendar, Critical Friends Groups, and school information collection.

Director of Capacity Building

Jane leads YU School Partnership's Education Team, which oversees the projects and programs that we offer schools with training and follow up. She also works directly with schools on internal capacity building to strengthen their leadership, reflect on their teaching and learning, and work towards whole school improvement.

Rachel works to develop external support of the YU School Partnership so that it can successfully provide its services to the community. She works with individual donors as well as foundations to secure funding for YUSP's various activities.

Research Analyst

As a member of the Planning and Performance Improvement Team, Eli works with schools nationwide to increase school sustainability by targeting internal financial key ratios. He works with school administrators and lay leaders to create individually tailored plans to isolate areas of opportunity where increased cooperation can maximize allocation efficiencies.

Director of Continuing Education and Professional Development

Naava works to provide continuous learning opportunities for the adults connected to Jewish day schools so that they in turn will be able to create sustainable excellence in learning for all Jewish day schools students. YUSP provides an abundance of diverse learning resources in varied content areas, modalities, technologies and formats, which can be utilized both inside and outside of schools.

Doctoral Intern

BJ serves as project manager for the BRAVE bullying prevention program. He is also a member of the CARE team, which seeks to raise awareness of child abuse in the Jewish community and design child abuse prevention programs in schools.

Project Coordinator, CARE

Shana works closely with the schools participating in CARE to evaluate the needs of their school community in order to personalize the program for optimal benefit. Shana works with the CARE team to update and add to the educational material and the CARE Program Manual. Shana also organizes the site visits and the follow up aspects of the program.

Program Manager, YUTeach Fellowships

Shira is the Program Manager for the YUTeach Fellowship programs, which help recruit, develop and support new teachers in Jewish education. She also cooperates on other innovative projects of YU School Partnership.

Educational Technology Specialist

Eliezer’s role is to advance Jewish education through the lens of 21st century skills, educational technology integration and online learning. As the developer of the YU 2.0 and YUeLearning online communities of practice, Eliezer works with Jewish educators around the globe in these areas. Through these communities and the further work in these areas, YUSP acts as stewards in ensuring technology is leveraged and 21st century skills are being implemented thoughtfully, responsibly and meaningfully in our Jewish day schools.

Associate Director of New Teacher Support

Shira’s primary role is to help day schools develop environments to support their new teachers. Shira comes with a background in new teacher mentoring from the Delet program after serving as a classroom teacher herself at the South Area Solomon Schechter in Norwood, Massachusetts.

Assistant Director of Planning and Performance Improvement

James co-manages, along with Harry Bloom, the Day School Financial Capacity Building Project, overseeing the work of the community consultant in one community and serving as the community consultant in the other. James helps 18 schools to re-engineer their long-term bottom line through comparative financial benchmarking, deployment of subject matter experts, governance assessments and the development of 3-year strategic and financial plans.

Project Coordinator, Online Certificate Programs

As the Project Coordinator of the Online Certificate Programs, Eitan helps organize the courses, assists facilitators in assembling and overseeing their courses, and guides participants from application to completion. Eitan also works on producing and disseminating YUSP resources, which take the form of publications, online resources and webinars, as well as the monthly newsletter. And in further spreading the YUSP message, he helps coordinate events, such as Scholar-in-Residence opportunities, which bring YUSP to communities.

Director of Recruitment, Placement, and Induction

Dina offers a continuum of support in career development, recruitment, and placement services for schools and individual school leaders. In addition, Dina facilitates the YUSP principal mentoring program along with 6 active Critical Friends Groups. If you are looking for a leader, looking for a new position, looking for peer mentoring/peer support or simply looking to discuss your career development, Dina is at your service.

Methodologist

The YU School Partnership provides the academic knowledge and research, educational experience and expertise, and strategic planning and performance improvement programs needed to build a better day school. Shoshi helps ensure that all of our projects and programs have research components embedded in them, and that information is formulated and presented well so that we and others in the field of education can benefit from that knowledge and further develop Jewish education.

Associate Director of Recruitment, Placement, and Induction

Joey helps YU develop its pipeline for future Jewish educators through innovative recruitment and career development programs for students from the undergraduate and graduate schools of YU who are interested in job opportunities within the field of Jewish education. Joey meets with individual students, alumni and job seekers who are looking for teaching positions and helps manage the placement process for both employers and job seekers.

Project Coordinator

Ariel directs the RUACH project, which focuses on religious development in high school. In addition, he is involved with the Hebrew literacy assessment, MaDYK, and coordinates and troubleshoots for many of the YU School Partnership’s Communities of Practice. Ariel has also recently joined a project involving metrics for improving day school management.

Elysia oversees all operations, logistics, budget and finance for the YU School Partnership. In addition she coordinates the project management office, overseeing the project coordinators and ensuring that all projects and programs are planned and executed as intended.

Project Manager, Hebrew Literacy Assessment

Elana directs the MaDYK program, a Hebrew literacy assessment that is currently being implemented in day schools nationwide. She is also a facilitator of our certificate program in student support, and is involved in research and program evaluation.

Assistant to the Director

Shira assists the director with all aspects of scheduling and meeting coordination. She also maintains communication with the Advisory Council, schools, donors, and partner organizations.
