iPads, and Apple products in general, bring a lot to the table. When considering what returns these products can potentially yield, one must first contemplate what are its strengths and qualities. The mantra of Apple is 'think differently'. This is very apropos for their products are all tools for thinking differently. They first revolutionized the MP3 player, then took computers over, and now have moved to tablets. The touch screen interface is unlike any we have seen before. Therefore by distributing them in schools, we are showing students, not only how to do things a little different, but also that it is ok to think differently.
